Hungary has signed an economic, education and sports cooperation agreement with the Maldives, and the two countries also are on a similar position regarding the settlement of the war in Ukraine, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in Malé.
The first cooperation has an economic theme - the government offers Hungarian water management, waste management and tourism technologies. The second education – instead of 15, 25 scholarships will be provided for Maldivian students studying at Hungarian universities from the next academic year. They will also receive coaches from the Maldives so that they can study in Hungary, and they also welcome Maldivian athletes to camps in Hungary.
They also agreed to support the raising of the standard of the Maldivian healthcare system with X-ray devices manufactured in Hungary by Hungarian companies.
